As school leavers prepare for post-16 education we understand you may have questions about the application process, enrolment, support services and staying informed about their progress.
Below is a summary of essential information to help you stay involved and confident throughout their journey.
Your journey begins with engaging lessons led by our expert tutors in top-of-the-line industry facilities. Our courses are designed to be practical and relevant, helping you develop the skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career or next step in education. You’ll take part in interactive sessions, group projects, hands-on tasks, workshops, industry placements and so much more. You will be encouraged to ask questions and challenge yourself, ensuring you grow in confidence ready for your career.
College life is about more than just studying, it's about discovering who you are and what you're passionate about. Our enrichment programme is almost entirely student-led. Whether you're into sports, creative arts, entrepreneurship or pop culture, there’s something for everyone.
You can take part in clubs, workshops, trips, training and events that build new skills, develop your interests and help you connect with others. By getting involved, you’ll also boost your confidence, build leadership experience and add something valuable to your CV or university application.

At Waltham Forest College we firmly believe that embracing student views and providing opportunities for students to have direct involvement in shaping their own experience will have a significant impact on student success.
Waltham Forest College will work with students and their representative structures to ensure that all students are able to participate in learner engagement processes.
The College's Online Store is where you can purchase any equipment or uniforms for your course. If you need to pay course and exam fees, or buy any supplementary equipment this is also the place you can do it. Contact your tutor if you need support.
We know that sometimes things don’t always go to plan. All of our students have access to free appointments with our Welfare & Wellbeing Team for confidential support and advice. This can also include speaking with a Mental Health Advisor, and support for young carers.

At Waltham Forest College we’re here to help you plan for the future. Our award-winning Careers Team offers one-to-one guidance, CV and interview support, and advice on university, apprenticeships and employment. You’ll also gain valuable experience through work placements, employer visits and career-focused events, helping you build skills and confidence for life after college.

Our support services extend to examinations and we know that some students will require special arrangements when taking their exams.
Waltham Forest College is proud to support learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Our ALS team provides tailored support in and out of the classroom, including help with exams and access across the College.
If you're a young learner with an Education Health & Care Plan (EHC Plan) we're here to help you succeed.

Our campus has lifts, ramps, a hoist and specialist toilets available for students with reduced mobility. In addition, we have accessible parking and wheelchair access. If wheelchair access is not available, we will seek to re-locate classes.
